Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FarmExchange platform operated by FarmExchange Ltd ("we", "us"), registered in England and Wales.

By creating an account or using FarmExchange, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Boost purchases (Featured and Bump listings) are one-off payments. No subscriptions or recurring charges apply.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and post listings. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide is accurate and up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us immediately at support@farmexchange.co.uk if you suspect your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

When you post a listing, you confirm that:

• You are the owner of the item, animal, or land, or are authorised to sell it.
• The listing is accurate, not misleading, and complies with applicable laws.
• For livestock: you have a valid CPH number, comply with animal movement regulations (BCMS, ScotEID, EAML2), and all required traceability information is correct.
• The item is legal to sell in the United Kingdom.
• You will not list the same item across multiple categories or create duplicate listings.

The following content is strictly prohibited on FarmExchange:

• Stolen, counterfeit, or illegally obtained goods.
• Livestock without valid movement documents or in breach of biosecurity restrictions.
• Controlled substances, firearms, or other regulated items.
• False, misleading, or fraudulent listings.
• Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Offensive, discriminatory, or harassing content.
• Spam, unsolicited advertising, or pyramid schemes.

We reserve the right to remove any listing that breaches these rules without notice.

Basic use of FarmExchange is free, subject to our fair use limits (3 free listings per month). Boost features — including featured listings and bumps — are subject to one-off charges as displayed at checkout.

All prices are shown inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

FarmExchange is a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between users. We do not verify the accuracy of listings, the condition of goods, or the identity of sellers beyond basic registration.

We strongly recommend that buyers inspect livestock and machinery in person before purchase and use appropriate legal contracts for significant transactions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FarmExchange is not liable for:

• Any loss arising from transactions between users.
• Inaccurate or misleading information in listings.
• Any indirect, consequential, or special loss.
• Service interruptions or data loss.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.

The FarmExchange brand, logo, and platform are owned by FarmExchange Ltd. You may not use our branding without prior written consent.

By posting content (listings, photos, text), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the platform.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give you reasonable notice of significant changes by email or via the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
